spent the entire day at home, blew off 3 appointments..
i've been blowing off appointments quite a bit recently.. i feel a little bad about it though..
):

so anyways, got work tomorrow and i'm nnot exactly looking forward to it.. maybe because i'll probably be lunching alone and it sucks, being alone and all.. i never did like the idea of working single-handedly..
-sulks-
so anyways, i need to get my butt out more often because i think my butt getting a little bigger.. i cant seem to fit into my favourite jeans.. the legs part seem quite okay but once it reaches the ass, it gets pretty tight i must say.. haha!!!
that's that and frankly, i dont know why i'm even posting this entry when i've got nothing much to say.. haha!!! how amusing is that?
ooh.. i didnt know that we could 'design' our babies even as embryos, until last sunday during lessons.. how crazy is that?! biotechnology is so freakishly amazing i have to say.. sure these advances in sciences can save our lives using stem cells and stuff.. but to actually design your child is just.. wrong..
to me, i think having a child itself is a gift, a wonderful mystery all on it's own.. to actually go to the extent of 'manufacturing' your child, choosing the kind of eye colour, skin type, hair colour of your child is just.. wrong.. why would you want your child to have a look different from you and your partner? to choose what kind of 'best' genes your child can get.. wouldnt that be like making a child just because you want a perfect being, someone out from your wildest imagination, rather than having the child because you want to have a child with the love of your life, loving the child for how he/she is..
on the other hand, another kind of thing, allowing the parents to choose a right embryo to allow it to grow into an adult.. this is for those people with hereditary illnesses that might pass on to their future generation.. by allowing this, i guess maybe we'll have lesser sick people in this world..
now would that be good or bad?!
i'll tell you the bad side. the good part is pretty simple to figure out..
the bad thing?
in my opinion, when we are all sickless and stuff, we might just take life for granted.. and what about the poorer people who cant afford such stuff and if they do happen to have illnesses that makes them different from who they are, wouldnt people who are more 'perfect' look down on them?
if everyone did look like models, all picture-perfect and stuff, who then, would come to learn to find true love, amist all the fake beauty that were chosen, not because it was God-given.. will they then learn, to find true beauty beneath all the perfect skin, the hour glass or perfect muscular body? wouldnt the world be filled with people, looking almost alike? why almost alike? see, we all do reference to who we think look beautiful and naturally, we'd all want our child to look that way.. perfect and all..
now, how scary would that be?!

so yeah.. just something i came to know about..
(:
alrights.. got to go now.. love!
