it's Good Friday..
watched 'the passion' on starmovies and it never fails to bring tears to my eyes, seeing how Jesus suffered for me when He could have simply chosen not to.. the act of sacrificing Himself for us is so great that i ask Him sometimes, why does He think we are worth all the pain and the bloodshed.. are we worth it my friends? are we worth another person's life? are our pathetic lives worth another man's life? are we worth dying for? would you really die for a friend?
i think not.. that's how we are as humans arent we? we say we are willing to die for a friend but most of us, when the occasion calls for it, we might back out.. Jesus could have backed out and decided to continue living and saving lives by just doing miracles.. people believe things when they see it.. but Jesus chose to die for me, for you and for everyone else.. His life is as precious as any one of us right now.. people loved him the same way your parents love you.. imagine when you get nailed to a cross with your mother watching by, imagine when you get punishment by using whips that lashes out and takes with it your skin and flesh.. it's that pain that Jesus went through that makes me wonder why did Jesus choose to die for me.. until now, i dont have any other reason than the reason that He loved me and wanted to save me to call me His own.. for that mighty love, i broke down..
He came down to be like us, to suffer pain and be just like us, humans, when He could have stayed in heaven beside God and watch over us.. yet, He chose to sacrifice His own life so that we His children will come to have eternal life.. it just never fails to amaze me how great His love is, that He would die for me.. and for everyone else..
Jesus died on the cross for our sins.. He took the weight of the world and carried it on His shoulders and thus, we are saved..
what would you do if you knew someone loved you so much that he was willing to die for you, to make sure that you would be in heaven and he really did it? well i tell you, there is someone and he is Jesus.. He's calling out everyday, to everyone of us to draw closer to Him to believe in Him.. can you hear him calling? i believe that Jesus is the way, the truth and the light and no one goes to the Father except through Him.. do you? this is my truth.. do you hear the truth? if you hear Him calling, touching your heart, dont just let it rest.. let the urge to know more overcome you.. dont deny yourself the basic right to know God, to know His love and peace that this earth cannot give.. dont deny yourself your right to His love, to be loved and to be taken care of.. He is calling my loved ones.. hear His soft prompting.. He knows your heart and everything about you.. He doesnt mind if you have commited sins before, He wont mind about the sins that you might commit in the future.. open your hearts and let your soul be touched by Jesus' love because His love changes lives.. in big ways and small, His love changes our lives for the better..
no one promised that we wouldnt go through suffering, no one promised that we wouldnt go through pain.. but i know that God will be there always, throughout every storm that comes your way.. go on, learn about Jesus and His life and His purpose of His life.. it has always been about us.. because He loves us.. it's that simple.. it's all because of love..

coming to know Christ will probably be one of my life's greatest achievement, one of my life's greatest accomplishment.. i wouldnt have it any other way.. having gone through this much in my life as a Christian, i know that no matter what i go through, He is always there to love me and to hold me when i'm weak..and for that, i am grateful beyong words..
i am just an ordinary girl with simple words that might or might not move you.. but i hope, with this simple words that i type, will ignite the spark within you to want to know the God i worship.. the One who inspires me to love and the One who makes me lift my hands up when i sing praises, the One who makes life so much more worthwhile, the One who is living today, in my life and hopefully, yours one day...
