life itself, scares me.
or maybe the future.
the uncertainty of it all.
the frailness of each life.
one minute you're laughing,
the next, you might be crying.
one day you're having fun,
the next, you might no longer be around.

she turns the music up and let the rhythm take control. each thrust of her head brings her into her own world where she can forget about the problems and retreat. the beats courses through her veins and go right down to her toes and they move. her hands sway to the rhythmic drum beats and she is lost.
as the music fades and she closes her eyes, she forms her own music in her mind and her body moves. the sorrow, the pain, they unleash their fury and project themselves through the tears that form behind her eyes. try as she might, they would not pushing. they push past the dams that hold them and they pour. the muscle tenses and the veins burn with blood. her limbs embrace and they circle her. round in arcs they move as if they could form a globe to keep her safe.
soon she is drained. she returns to the warmness of her room and remembers everything that plagues. one day she says, one day, everything will be alright. they will be alright.
